⇢ Questions (Lalin)
Act 1 of Lalin introduces us with the protagonist, a internet celebrity of a masked lady. Despite the internet fame that she has garnered over the years, she still feels unsatisfied and yearns for to accept herself and to show her true self behind the saturated face filters. This is due to the bullying she had to endure in high school with nicknames like "Miss Meteorite"
In Act 2, Lalin gets a chat from Nut regarding a translation of his newest book and they start to befriend each other more from messages to video calls. Nut then asks if Lalin can show her face without the mask until he surprises her with a text of him in Sapporo.
In Act 3, a chance encounter brings Lalin and Nut face-to-face. However, Lalin's insecurities, stemming from a hidden struggle with acne, lead her to push Nut away, asking him to leave. The fallout reveals a shocking truth: Nut is someone from Lalin's past, someone who recognized her all along. He had been working tirelessly to better himself, hoping for a chance to reconnect with her. Heartbroken, Lalin races after Nut, desperate to catch him. But time runs out, and she watches helplessly as he boards a departing train, leaving her behind.

⇢ Questions (Everything Everywhere All At Once)
1. Which part is act 1, act 2, act 3 respectively? Describe each act with ONE paragraph only.
Act 1 of Everything Everywhere All At Once is the beginning and establishes the characters and the conflict that will be apparent throughout the movie. It showcases the ordinary lies of Joy, Evelyn and Waymond enjoying karaoke, but then the stressors start to bubble up as Joy starts worrying about her relationships and the laundromat and Evelyn stresses about her father's party, wondering if what she has is enough, and Waymond comforts her. She continues her day when she is pulled back by Alpha Waymond telling her that the multiverse is in danger and she debates on whether to move forward. She jumps through the verse and realises how different her life could've been.
In Act 2 of EEAAO, Evelyn decides that its time to take action and there's no going back. She starts to verse jump to her other counterparts to gain more skills but as the stakes pile higher and higher with the death of Alpha Waymond, Jobu confronts Evelyn which causes her mind to shatter and faints returning her to her original universe. As the villain closes in on the protagonist, Jobu shows Evelyn towards the bagel. The persuasion works and Evelyn starts acting nihilistically towards those around her ending with her and Joy hitting rock bottom and literally turning into rocks.
In Act 3 of EEAAO, new information is introduced as Evelyn wallows about the implications of what the hero has to do to solve all the problems. Evelyn is met up with Waymond, where she gets a revelation and decides to be more kind just like him. Through the lessons she has learnt, she faces the last obstacle with the lessons and fights with kindness, repairing her relationships especially towards Joy. It ends with Evelyn finally accepting the chaos in her life and reunites with Joy as the Wang family gets ready to face the IRS.
2. What is the inciting incident in the movie?
When Evelyn gets a message from Alpha Waymond warning her that the multiverse is in grave danger in the hands of Jobu Tupaki.
3. What is the midpoint scene in the movie?
When Evelyn has doubts about whether she can stop Jobu in her real world after she and Alpha Waymond follows her father into an office room. She then decided against her father to save her daughter Joy.
4. What is the Climax scene in the movie?
When Evelyn and Joy confront each other in the real world. Joy pleads with Evelyn to let her go and accept the possibility of a life without her. Despite this, Evelyn chooses to stay with her and tells Joy that no matter what else exists, she wants to be with her and cherish the precious moments they have together.
5.What is the theme of the movie?
While Everything Everywhere All At Once doesn't explicitly state it, it implies that the meaning of life is recognizing that life has no exact meaning. This allows us to find significance in every aspect of existing, from the ordinary to the extraordinary, because all of those moments come together to form something as equally valuable.
